William A. Shaughnasey

Copake, NY - William A. Shaughnasey, 84, passed away Monday, June 7, 2010, at the Baptist Home, Rhinebeck.

Mr. Shaughnasey was a lifelong resident of Copake. A Dairy Farmer, he worked on the Herb Miller Farm and the Head Farm in Copake. He was a life member of the Millerton Lions Club; and served as a director for 20 years and as Lion Tamer. Mr. Shaughnasey had 100 % attendance every year of his membership.

Born July 7, 1925, in Taghkanic, he was the son of Daniel and Christine J. (Bruce) Shaughnasey.

Mr. Shaughnasey five siblings are Mary Dietter, Cornelia Kampschroeder, Helen Shaughnasey, Lulu Shaughnasey and Gertrude Bainer of Hudson, NY. He is also survived by several nieces and nephews.

Calling hours are Thursday, 6 to 8 PM, at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains. Funeral services are Friday, 10 AM, from the funeral home. Interment will follow in Irondale Cemetery, Millerton.
