Vivian M. Shadic

Philmont, NY - Vivian M. Shadic, 80, passed away on Friday, July 8, 2011 at Pine Haven Nursing Home in Philmont, NY.

She was born in Chatham, NY on March 30, 1931 the daughter of the late Everett and Francis (Stupplebeen) Shadic.

She retired in 1981 from Columbia Memorial Hospital after thirty one years of service.

Vivian was a member of the Hillsdale Ladies Fire Auxiliary and Columbia County Fire Auxiliary.

She was an avid softball catcher, and played in the Hudson Women's League, she also enjoyed basketball and bowling.

Survivors include her three sisters, Gladys Jensen of Philmont, NY; Lillian (Pete) Campbell of Craryville, NY; Joyce McDonald of Columbiaville, NY; a companion, Nancy Zoltnick of Catskill, NY; and her extended family at the Community Life church formerly the First Baptist Church of Catskill, NY.

She was predeceased by two sisters, Alice Edgebert, Helen Coons and three brothers, Everett (Sonny) Shadic Jr., Harold Shadic and George Shadic.

Calling hours are 4 to 6 pm on Tuesday, July 12, 2011 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home 8063 Rte. 22 Copake, NY.

A Celebration of Live will be celebrated at a time to be announced at a later date from the Community Life Church 20 West Main
