Ancramdale, NY - Violet I. Boyles, 80, passed away on Wednesday, April 27, 2011 at Vassar Brothers Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.
She was born in Ancram, NY on August 12, 1930 the daughter of the late Milton and Bertha (Kepler) Miller.
Mrs. Boyles was a seamstress at the Dress Factory in Pine Plains, NY.
She was a member of the Ancramdale First Presbyterian Church.
On May 15, 1949 in Pine Plains, she married Clifford "Red" Boyles Sr. He survives her at home. In addition to her loving husband Clifford, survivors include a son, Clifford and his wife Helen Boyles Jr. of North East, NY; a daughter, Cynthia "Cindy" and her husband Lawrence "Larry" Hoage of Lakeville, CT; two grandchildren, Russell Hoage, Samantha Boyles and a great granddaughter, Kirstyn Hoage.
She was predeceased by two sisters, Marion Boyles, Margaret "Jimmie" Sherman and a brother, Melvin Miller.
There are no calling hours.
Gravesides services will be held on Sunday, May 1st at 1 pm at the Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains, with Rev. Leif Erickson, officiating.
A reception will follow the service at the Ancram Fire Company in Ancram, NY.
