Vincent R. Sacoski

Vincent R. "Uncle Rush" Sacoski, 84 of Taconic Shores in Copake, NY passed away peacefully on Sunday November 28, 2010 at Community Hospice in Columbia Memorial Hospital, Hudson, NY.

He was born on October 20, 1926 in Bronxville, NY the son of Jacob and Mary (Brophy) Sacoski.

Mr. Sacoski was a sergeant with the Westchester County Deputy Sheriff's Department until his retirement in 1984. Previously he had been employed by the Burrough's Wellcome Pharmecutical Co. in Tuckahoe, NY.

He was a veteran of World War II serving with the United States Marine Corps.

Mr. Sacoski was pre deceased by his wife Florence E. (Schoureck) Sacoski in 1995 and also a sister, Elizabeth M. Sacoski.

Survivors include many nieces and nephews including his nephew and best friend Christopher Schoureck of Tuckahoe, NY. He also leaves several great and great great nieces and nephews.

Private funeral services will be held on Thursday December 2, 2010 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, NY. The Rev. George Brennan of Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Copake Falls, NY will officiate.

Entombment will follow at the Rose Hills Memorial Park in Putnam Valley, NY.
