Vincent Radice

February 19, 1930 — December 22, 2015



On December 22, 2015, Vincent Radice passed away peacefully in the comfort of his home.

Born February 19, 1930 in Bayonne, NJ to Vincent and Rosemanda Radice.

He served in the US Army as a member of the Army Band.

As an accomplished alto saxophone player he later played alongside many of the famous jazz singers of the 50's including Tony Bennett, Louis Armstrong, Peggy Lee and many others.

He was a newspaper reporter for the Jersey Journal throughout his 20's.

He received his Master's Degree in education from NYU.

In 1963 he. Along with his new wide Rosemarie, moved to Columbia County to teach at the Ockawamick School. He taught English there until his retirement.

He and his wife were avid collectors of antiques and owned The Country Place antique shop in Hudson.

He was predeceased by his parents, his wife, and his sister Barbara.

He is survived by his son Christian and his wife Erika.

There are no calling hours.

In lieu of flowers, donations can be made to the Columbia/Greene Community Hospice or The Columbia/Greene Humane Society.
