Stanfordville, NY - Thomas Yale Bristoll, 81, passed away on Saturday, January 23, 2010 at Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

He was born on August 23, 1928 in New Britain, CT the son of the late Alan Yale and Frances (Kenly) Bristoll.

Mr. Bristoll worked as a dairy herd manger for the Tymor Farm in LaGrangeville, NY. Later, he was a part-time policeman in the state of Massachusetts, and then worked for IBM in Kingston and Poughkeepsie until his retirement in 1990.

Tom was a member of the Stanford Fire Company, and a talented photographer all his life. He was an avid fisherman with his dog, a cocker spaniel named "Poo-Fod" they toured Vermont, New Hampshire and Maine looking for the best places to fish. In later years, he enjoyed the companionship of his dog "Bubba" and cats Mittens, Squeaker and TC.

He served with the United States Army in the Military Police during the Korean War.

Survivors include his son, Ben Bristoll of Vestal, NY; a brother T.K. Bristoll and his wife Karen of South Kortright, NY; three nieces, Amy Blum, Bonnie Bristoll, Cindy Bristoll; and his extended family, Millie and Dennis Williams and there children, Dennis, Cassandra and Jessica.

Mr. Bristoll was predeceased by a nephew, Alan Bristoll.

Calling hours are 1 to 3 pm on Sunday, January 31, 2010 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home South Main St. Pine Plains, NY.

Funeral service is 3 pm on Sunday at the funeral home with Rev. Jan Brooks officiating.

Interment will be at the convenience of the family
