Thomas Lee Bishop

Thomas Lee Bishop, 64, a wonderful husband and loving father of Hudson, NY passed away on Monday December 26, 2011 at Northern Dutchess Hospital in Rhinebeck, NY.
He was born on June 1, 1947 in Ticonderoga, NY, a son of the late Laverne and Laura (Diedrick) Bishop.
Mr. Bishop had resided in Hudson for the past six years and along with his wife owned and operated Mrs. B's Cleaning Service. Tommy previously had resided in Putnam County for many years and then moved to Dover Plains, NY where he lived for 24 years. While residing there he was the owner and operator of Bishop Bros. Sanitation based out of Wingdale, NY.
He had many varied interests and hobbies including farming, camping, playing the guitar, music and enjoyed his computer. Tommy was an avid fan of the New York Giants and the New York Yankees.
In 1969 in Patterson, NY he met and married his wife, Hester (Miller) Bishop.
Survivors include his wife of 42 years, Hester Bishop of Hudson; a daughter and son in law, Cindy Bishop Grassi and husband Joseph of Guilford, NY along with a son, Stephen Bishop of Hudson. He also leaves his siblings, Donald Bishop of Crown Point, NY, Florence Monroe of Granville, NY, Caroline Perkins of Queensbury, NY, Patty Judson of Pawling, NY, Barbara Rule of Dover Plains, NY, Shirley Hebert of Ticonderoga, NY, Bobby Bishop of Dover Plains, NY and George Bishop of Granville, NY along with nieces and nephews. He also leaves his faithful canine companions, Butch and Chubby.
Along with his parents, he was pre deceased by a brother Ronald Bishop and a daughter Tammy Lynn Bishop.
Friends are invited and may call on Friday December 30, 2011 from 2 - 5 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake, NY.
A Memorial Service will be offered also on Friday at 5 PM at the funeral home with the Rev. Esther Chappuis officiating.
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
