Troy – Steven Scott Couse, 62, passed away Tuesday, December 7, 2021 at his home in Troy.
Steve was a graduate of Stissing Mt. Jr.-Sr. High School, Pine Plains and Dutchess Community College. He was working as Employment Counselor at Living Resources Corp, Troy.
Born February 6, 1959 in Sharon, CT, he was the son of Fred A. Couse, Sr. and Kathleen Robertson Couse.
Steve is survived by his brother Fred “Chip” Couse, Jr., and his wife Nicole of Milan, NY; two sisters, Patricia Shockley, and her husband James of Boynton Beach, Fl, and Barbara Adams, and her husband Patrick of Poughkeepsie. In addition, he is survived by many nieces and nephews, and grand-nieces and nephews.
Steve had a passion for all kinds of music and enjoyed concerts and live performances throughout his life. He was proud of his expansive collection of vintage vinyl albums and CD’s. His love of music was matched only by his love for family. His brother and sisters, nieces and nephews, and cousins, as well as his close friends, are devastated by his sudden passing and will miss Steve’s indomitable smile and genuine personality.
Calling hours are Monday, December 13th, 4:00 to 7:00 PM, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 Route 82, Pine Plains. A service of remembrance will begin at 6:30 PM.
Memorial donations in Steven’s name may be made to the American Heart Association.
