Copake Falls - Stanley J. Gansowski, 92, passed away on Friday, August 19, 2011 at the Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT.
He was born November 30, 1918, the son of the late Benjamin and Anna (Brosky) Gansowski.
Mr. Gansowski formerly owned and operated the Fox Hill Farm in Ancramdale, NY. He was a longtime active communicant of the Our Lady of Hope Roman Catholic Church in Copake Falls. Stanley was also a former member of the Holy Name Society at Our Lady of Hope.
He was an avid reader, and loved gardening and collecting antique bottles.
On October 15, 1944, he married Margaret E. Malarchuk at the Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia, NY. She predeceased him on June 27, 2007.
He is survived by his two sons, Thomas Gansowski and his wife Louise of Ancramdale; Stanley "Stosh" Gansowski and his wife Carol of Copake; six grandchildren, Mark Gansowski, Lisa Farnam, Shawn McCann, Michael McCann, Meghan McCann, and Justin Gansowski; and four great grandchildren, Keeley and Brendan Farnam, Oliver McCann, and Jillian Gansowski. He is also survived by a son-in-law, William McCann of Copake, and a sister, Mary Comstock of Millerton.
In addition to his wife, he was predeceased by a daughter, Carol Gansowski McCann in 1988, and by two brothers, Benjamin Gansowski and John Gansowski.

Friends are invited and may call on Tuesday, August 23, 2011 from 9 to 10 AM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Tuesday August, 23, 2011 at 10 AM from the Our Lady of Hope Parish with Fr. George Brennan officiating.
Interment will follow in the New St. Bridget's Cemetery.
