Scott S. Keough, 67, of Copake, passed away peacefully at home on September 3, 2024 surrounded by his loving family and his beloved dog Crystal. He was born on February 22, 1957 in Pittsfield, Massachusetts. Son of the late Stuart and Marion (Goodermote) Keough. In 1972, Scott enlisted in the United States Navy and served aboard the USS Sylvania. He served honorably until 1978 when he returned home. He began his career in automotive sales working at Pete’s Motors and most recently for Haddad Auto Group. He had a very good group of customers, many of whom became friends over the years. His connections and friendships were invaluable.
Scott truly enjoyed helping people no matter what the situation. He was abundantly positive throughout his life and remained so even until his final days. When he wasn’t making a deal or finding someone the perfect car, you could find him riding his motorcycle, golfing, playing billiards, or singing karaoke. With his wonderful singing voice, you would find him singing with the Berkshire Hillsman, a barber shop quartet. He was also very involved in charity organizations, including Earth Angels and other local charities.
Scott is survived by his wife, Kimberly. His daughter Jessica (Allen) Tierney, sons Joshua (Yunhee) Keough and Kyle Keough. His three grandchildren, Alexander, Taemin & Yuna. Also by his siblings, David Gordon, Lynn Keough, Sherrill Keough, Ruth Sawicki, Walter & Shawn Keough. In addition to many nieces, nephews and cousins.
