Pine Plains, NY - Sal Lico, 77, a resident of Pine Plains and Clinton Corners since the 1970's passed away on Sunday, May 5, 2013 at home.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on June 17, 1935 the son of the late Vincent and Annette (Cusumano) Lico.
Sal honorably served his country in the United States Navy.
He was prominent member of the Dutchess County Poultry Fanciers Assoc. Associated with the Dutchess County Fairgrounds for almost thirty years.
Sal was known to everyone as "Uncle Sal" or "Grandpa Sal"
He enjoyed all animals and had a genuine concern for all people too.
Mr. Lico was a supervisor for Swiss Air Lines at JFK for over thirty years.
Survivors include two cousins, Bernadette Ficchi of Staten Island, NY; and Frank Marinello of Brooklyn, NY.
Calling hours will be held on Tuesday, May 7, from 4 to 8 PM at the Peck & Peck Funeral Homes 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 AM on Wednesday, May 8, at St. Christopher's Church, Red Hook, NY.
Interment will follow at St. Paul's Cemetery, Red Hook.
