Ruth E. Snyder

Stanfordville, NY - Ruth E. Snyder, 82, joined her husband John, on January 29, 2015 at her home surrounded by her children, grandchildren and great grandchild.

Born on January 7, 1933 in Washington, DC the daughter of Edward and Ruth (Trott) Heinlein. She raised her family in Newburgh.

She graduated from Mount St. Mary's High School in Newburgh. After graduation from High School, she graduated from St. Francis nursing program in Poughkeepsie.

Mrs. Snyder was a registered nurse with Archdiocese of New York.

She was a proud and longtime member of the Dominican Laity of Middletown, NY.

Loved by her children, Bill, Patricia, Stephen, Ellen, Ann Marie, Louise and Helen. nine grandchildren, four great grandchildren. Also survived by a sister Sally and a brother William.

She was predeceased by her husband, John J. Snyder on April 29, 1991.

Calling hours are 2 to 4 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday, February 6, 2015 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 am on Saturday, February 7, at St. Joseph's Roman Catholic Church, 15 North Ave. in Millbrook, NY.

Burial will follow in St. Mary's Cemetery, Bangall, NY.
