Elizaville - Roy H. Hagenbuch, 94, passed away Monday, November 29, 2010, at his home in Elizaville, NY.
Roy was born in Milton, PA, on October 15, 1916 to Hiram and Bessie (Lake) Hagenbuch. He moved with his family to Hackettstown, NJ where he owned a dairy farm, and in 1965 moved to Pine Plains where he worked on several farms, and managed the Moore Farm in Gallatin.
Roy is survived by his children, Barry (Bonnie) Hagenbuch of Lawrenceville, GA; Nona Rae (Art) Coffill of Falls Village, CT; Roger (Wanda) Hagenbuch of Cheney, WA; Holly (Fred) Bucalos of Sidney, NY; Heidi (Carl) Wallace of Nashville, TN; Manuel (Rosanne) Hagenbuch of Elizaville, NY; and Jill (Pat) McDonald of Hemet, CA; a brother Clyde Hagenbuch of Milton, PA; 19 grandchildren, 10 great grandchildren, and several nieces and nephews.
Roy's interests included gardening, attending state farm shows, taking photographs, and traveling to visit his children in California, Nevada, Virginia,and Germany. Roy enjoyed attending the October Birthday Club, the Ancram Opera House and he especially liked visiting with many friends around Gallatin and Ancram where he earned the title, "Earth Angel."
He was predeceased by his former wife, Mildred I.(Yingling)Hagenbuch; a son, Michael; a daughter, Peggy Monahan; a brother, Paul Hagenbuch; and two sisters, Helen Styer and Catherine Maust.
Calling hours are Thursday, 6 to 8 PM at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, S. Main St., Pine Plains. And 11AM to 1 PM, Saturday, at the Brady Funeral Home, 320 Church St., Danville, PA.
Funeral service are Saturday, 2 PM, at the Oak Grove Lutheran Church, 130 Hagenbuch Loop, Danville, PA 17821. Interment will be in the Oak Grove Lutheran Church Cemetery
