Roger J. Cayouette

Gallatin, NY - Roger J. Cayouette, 76, passed away on Tuesday, February 17, 2015 at Vassar Brother's Medical Center in Poughkeepsie, NY.

He was born on June 14, 1938 in Astoria, NY the son of Gay and Juliette (Chabot) Cayouette.

Mr. Cayouette was a window trimmer for Bonds Clothing in New York, NY.

He was an Honorary Member of Knights of Columbus in Long Island City, NY.

On December 13, 1957 in Astoria, NY he married Margaret C. (Levandi) Cayouette. She predeceased him on August 23, 2009.

Survivors include three daughters, Janine (Chris) Janos of Flushing, NY; Denise Weaver of Gallatin, NY; Michele (Johnny) Steigerwald of White Stone, NY; five grandchildren, Mallory Weaver, Jonathan Janos, Jason Janos, Corey Weaver and Christine Janos.

Calling hours are 2 to 5 and 7 to 9 pm on Friday, February 27, at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.

A memorial Mass will be celebrated on Saturday, February 28, at 11 AM from Our Lady of Hope in Copake Falls, NY with Rev. George Brennan, officiating.

Burial will be in the Evergreen Cemetery in the family plot in the spring.
