Robert E. Murphy

Robert E. Murphy, 81 of Deer Run Rd. in Millerton, NY passed away on Sunday August 14, 2011 at the Sharon Health Care Center, Sharon, CT.

He was born in Manhattan on April 24, 1930 a son of Lawrence and Dolores (Rey) Murphy.

Formerly of Unionvale, Mr. Murphy attended Our Lady of Hope Parish in Copake Falls.

Prior to his retirement he was employed as evening manager at Grand Union in Hopewell Jct.

Survivors include his son and daughter in law, Edward and Deborah Murphy of Millerton; his grandchildren, Christopher Murphy of Gilberts, IL and Erin Murphy of Millerton. He also leaves a great grandson, John Murphy.

He was pre - deceased by his wife, Helga.

Friends are invited and may call on Wednesday August 17, 2011 from 11:00 - 1:30 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Rt. 22 in Copake, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated also on Wednesday at 2:00 PM from Our Lady of Hope Parish located at 8074 State Rt. 22, directly across from the funeral home.

Interment will be private and at the convenience of the family.
