The entire Copake Country Club family is deeply saddened to inform our community of the passing of Reymundo Luna Martinez, a valued employee, but even more, a great friend.
Tragically, while driving alone this past Friday, Reymundo veered from the road and sadly did not survive. He was only 25 years old.
Many of you will remember Reymundo's infectious smile, which he was never without, and his unyielding energy. Always eager to help, he felt responsible to make certain that everything was as close to perfect as possible and never minded going that extra distance for the benefit of us all.
Reymundo became an avid golfer after moving to the club. He enjoyed soccer, farming, and animals. Survived by other members of our family, brothers Lorenzo and Santiago, sister-in-law Sandra, and his niece Perla and nephew Enrique both of whom Reymundo adored and spent plenty of time with playing outdoors in Mexico. Reymundo is survived by his mother and an additional seven brothers and three sisters.
There will be a gathering this Saturday, March 12, 2016. from 3pm to 5pm at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Rte. 22, Copake, NY with a reception at The Greens following. A normal burial in Mexico will take place next week. In lieu of flowers, a fund to help defer funeral expenses has been set up.
We are heartbroken to say goodbye to our loving friend Reymundo. We will miss you.
