Peter R. Stapf Sr

Pine Plains, NY - Peter R. Stapf Sr. 88, passed away on Tuesday, January 17, 2012 at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.

He was born in Tuckahoe, NY the son of the late Joseph and Otilya (Guies) Stapf.

Mr. Stapf was a machine operator for the Town of Pine Plains Highway Department.

He proudly served his country with the United States Army.

On August 8, 1948 in Amenia, NY he married Dorothy M. (Fountain) Stapf. She predeceased him in 1992.

Survivors include three sons, Robert Sr. and his wife Sandra Stapf of Millerton, NY; Peter R. Jr. and his wife Donna Stapf of Niskayuna, NY; John and his wife Jane Stapf of Pine Plains, NY; three daughters, Barbara and her husband, Everett Holdridge of Zephyrhills, FL; Deborah and her husband Terry Bryant of Ancram, NY; Wendy and her husband George Lind of Millerton, NY; sixteen grandchildren, Michelle, Robin, Robert Jr., Kristofer, Tammy, Candy, Michael, Donna, Valerie, Renea, Steven, Christopher, Derek, Justin, Jessica, Jason; eighteen great grandchildren, Zachary, Adriana, MacKenzie, Addison, Nicholas, Matthew, Samantha, Sarah, Emily, Brianna, Jaylen, Alexis, Luke, Kaleb, Cameron, Hannah, Ava, Cecilia.

There are no calling hours.

A private graveside service will be held at the convenience of the family.
