Nelson C. Bowne

Nelson C. Bowne, 81, of Pine Plains, passed away on Saturday, October 21, 2023 at the Paramount Nursing & Rehabilitation Center in Somers. He was born on October 30, 1941 in Poughkeepsie to the late Nelson and Emma (Sauter) Bowne. Nelson served our country in the US Navy from 1959 to 1960 when he was honorably discharged. He worked for Dutchess County Highway as an equipment operator, as well as for the Town of Stanford. He enjoyed fishing, picnics at Rudd Pond, and loved animals. Nelson was always happy when he could be socializing with friends and he will be remembered as a warm and friendly person.

Nelson is survived by his daughter, Sherry Bowne, his brother in law and his wife, Paul and Donna Harrison. Cousins; Lynn & Rich Hoffay and Jennifer & Anthony Harrison.

He was predeceased by his wife, Doris in 2010.

In keeping with his wishes, services will he held privately at the convenience of the family.
