Nancy A. Seebruch

Stanfordville, NY - Nancy A. Seebruch, 76, passed away on Sunday, March 8, 2015 at Vassar Brother's Medical Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY with her loving family at her side.

She was born in Bronx, NY on December 17, 1938 the daughter of Henry and Alma (Schade) Seebruch.

Nancy's life was one of giving and caring for family, friends, but also to anyone that was in need. She believed giving of oneself without ever expecting anything in return. This was especially true with her work with the United Church of Christ, Stanford Grange #808, Meals on Wheels and countless other volunteer activities. Nancy will always be remembered for her cooking, knitted baby sets, beautiful handmade quilts, and other crafts.

She was a fifty eight year member of the Stanford Grange #808, holding many posts including Master. She was also a longtime member of the United Church of Christ.

A graduate of Pine Plains Central School. She also attended Dutchess Community College.

Nancy retired from Dutchess County Department of Health after thirty five years of service. For many decades, she was the morning cook at the Dutchess County's Fair Grange kitchen. Once retired she cooked for over ten years twice a week for Meals on Wheels in Stanfordville.

Survivors include a sister-in-law, Vivien Seebruch of Stanfordville, NY; two nephews, Seward "Butch" (Dianne) Seebruch of Standfordville, NY; Karl "Seeb" (Victoria) Seebruch of Puna, HI; two great nephews, Dustin (Robin) Seebruch, Luke Seebruch and a great niece Laia Seebruch; she also leaves behind a companion, John Polivich.

She was predeceased by a brother, Karl "Chip" Seebruch on August 9, 2012.

There is no calling hours.

A memorial service will be held at 11 am on Saturday, March 21, 2015 at the United Church of Christ with Pastor, Rhoda Starzyk officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to the Pine Plains Community Food Locker, 3023 East Church St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.
