Mildred Etchegary

Mildred Etchegary passed away on her 90th birthday, January 20, 2015 at her residence in Claverack, NY.

She was born on January 20, 1925 in Torrington, CT the daughter of Lucien and Emilie (Kopankiewitz) Massut.

A housewife, Mrs. Etchegary had been a resident of Claverack since 1997 previously residing in Torrington.

Mildred loved gardening, wild birds and was an avid fan of the New York Yankees.

Her husband Frank M. Etchegary passed away on January 1, 2015.

Survivors include her sons John Etchegary of Waterbury, CT and Bruce Etchegary of Torrington, CT; her grandchildren, Emily Etchegary and Jennifer Etchegary , both of Torrington and Traci Wells of Harwinton CT along with her two great grandchildren, Sonja and Devon Wells of Harwinton, CT. She also leaves a niece, Deborah Kugzaj of Barkhamsted, CT and special friend, Ursula Schneider of Claverack.

Along with her husband Frank she was pre deceased by two children, Alan and Gail Etchegary and a brother, Robert Massut.

Private funeral services will be at the convenience of the family.

Arrangements are with the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Copake NY.
