Michael A. Mcleroy

Poughkeepsie - Michael A. McLeroy, 61, a resident of Poughkeepsie, NY, passed away on Thursday, December 6, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital.

He was born on July 28, 1951 in Memphis, TN, the son of Dorothy Greer McLeroy and the late Andrew McLeroy.

In 1977 in Memphis, TN, he married MaryAnn E. Decker. They were married for twenty three years. She predeceased him on February 12, 2000.

Michael was a cab driver for A One Transportation and Dubois taxi companies. He volunteered for the City of Poughkeepsie Fire Department. He was an avid fisherman and a major sports fan.

A visiting hour will be held on Monday, December 10, 2012 from 11 AM to 12 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains, NY. Funeral services will begin at 12 PM. Interment will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery.

Michael is survived by a son and daughter-in-law, Robert and Robin Decker of Pine Plains, NY; a son and daughter-in-law Michael and Phyllis McLeroy of Wilmington, VT; a son and daughter-in-law Christopher and Jennifer McLeroy of Port Ewen, NY; a son Jason McLeroy of Hyde Park, NY; a daughter, Crystal McLeroy of Liberty, NY; grandchildren, Zachary, Adriana, Mackenzie, Cassandra, Madison, Molly, Kaitlyn, Justin, Jason II, MaryAnn, Angelina and Kaylamarie; mother-in-law Grace Tompkins of Jeffersonville, VT; a brother Patrick McLeroy; and three sisters, Kyria Young, Diane Blake and Lisa McLeroy.
