Marie Louise Raitz

Marie Louise Raitz, age 86 of Ancram, NY and formerly of Long Island passed away on Tuesday May 2, 2017 at the Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT.

She was born on September 28, 1930 in Staten Island, NY a daughter of Lemert Q. and Aagot (Barman) Wilbur.

Mrs. Raitz had been employed as a legal secretary for the Ferris Law Office in Hudson, NY.

On June 23, 1951 in Middleburgh, NY she married Gustave Raitz. He pre deceased her in 2013.

Survivors include her children and their spouses, daughter Ruth and husband George K. Wittlinger Sr. of Ancramdale, NY; sons Gustave W. Raitz and wife Mary of Smyrna, DE, D. Donald Coburn and wife Barbara of Seaford, NY and Rhys L. Raitz and wife Karen of Nashville, TN. Also survived by her grandchildren, Lauren Glenn and husband Kevin, Maureen Raitz and husband Ronald Fretz, Doreen Hiester and husband Dave, Meaghan Liwosz and husband Chris, Kaitlyn Raitz, Andrew Raitz, Matthew Raitz and Daniel Wittlinger. In addition her great grandchildren, Kevin Glenn, Ava Glenn, Amelia Fretz, Tessa Fretz and Madeleine Hiester and one brother Lemert Q. Wilbur Jr. of Ashland, OR along with nieces and nephews.

Friends are invited and may call on Sunday May 7, 2017 from 3:00-7:00 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Route 22 in Copake, NY.

Funeral services will be held on Monday May 8, 2017 at 11:00 AM at the funeral home with Vicar Jacqueline Jefferson of St. John's Lutheran Church in Ancram officiating.

Private interment will be in Union Cemetery, Ancram.
