Marguerite Garrison

Marguerite Garrison, 90, formerly of Hillsdale, passed away comfortably on November 8, 2024 at Greene Meadows Nursing Home in Catskill. She was born in Hillsdale on November 16, 1933, the daughter of Arthur and Livina (Winters) Garrison. After graduating from Roeliff Jansen School, Marguerite worked for Pine Line Poultry Farm in Hillsdale and was also a caretaker for the Gellert Family for many years. She had a love for cats and would take any stray in that needed a home. Marguerite was predeceased by her husband, Ira DeLaMater in 1988 and fifteen of her siblings.

Marguerite is survived by her last remaining sister, Barbara Stalker and many nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will take place at 11:00 AM on Friday, November 15, 2024 at Hillsdale Rural Cemetery.
