Louis (Buddy) Ford Ginocchio, 83, passed away unexpectedly on Monday, December 9, 2024 in New Smyrna Beach, Florida. He was born on August 29, 1941, in Sharon, CT to the late Louis and Elizabeth (Ford) Ginocchio.
Buddy was a Navy veteran who was raised in Pine Plains and lived there until retiring part-time to Florida. Buddy was the founder and operator of Ginocchio Electric in the town of Pine Plains. Upon his retirement he sold his business to Kyle Lougheed. His successful legacy still operates today under his name. He was heavily involved with the Town of Pine Plains during his lifetime as a school bus driver, town councilman and water department supervisor.
He was a devoted Husband, Dad, Grandpa and Uncle.
Buddy is survived by his loving wife Eleanor Ginocchio, his daughters Shannon, Melanie and Valerie (spouse Wayne), his grandchildren Rebecca, Jacquelyn, Ryan, Meghan and Julie. In addition to his parents, he was also predeceased by Donna Ruhlen; his sister.
A time for sharing memories and offering condolences will be on Friday, December 13, 2024 at Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, 7749 S. Main Street Pine Plains, from 3:00 to 6:00 PM. A graveside service will be held on Saturday, December 14th at 10:30 AM at Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains. Please come join us for a celebration of life at the Pine Plains Lions Club on Saturday, December 14th from 11:30am to 5:30pm. In lieu of flowers please make a donation to a charity of your choice in his memory.
