Stanfordville, NY - Lloyd E. Woodcock Jr., 63, passed away suddenly on Tuesday, August 13, 2013 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT.
He was born on February 10, 1950 in Ogdensburg, New York, the son of the late Lloyd E. and Leola (Hazelton) Woodcock Sr.
Lloyd honorably served his country in the United States Marine Corps from 1967 until 1973.
On June 30, 1973, he married Louise Tamburrino in Pleasant Valley, New York.
He was a Sergeant with the New York State Troopers based out of Troop K Headquarters in Millbrook. He retired in January of 2001. Lloyd also worked for P.P.A. Properties in Pawling, NY.
He was a member of the Stanford Grange # 808, and the LeRoy Campbell American Legion Post # 1793 in Stanfordville, NY.
In addition to his loving wife Louise, he is survived by three sons, Jason Woodcock and his wife Christine of Winsted, CT; Stephen Woodcock and his wife Teresa of Hyde Park, NY; and Lloyd E. Woodcock III and his wife Stacia of Woodside, NY; two granddaughters, Grace and Eve; four sisters, Linda Wendover and her husband Ray of Pine Plains, NY; Lila Anderson and her husband Lenny of Millbrook, NY; Lynne Schlude and her husband Leonard of Myrtle Beach, SC; and Peggy Sue Levato and her husband Mike of Canton, NY; and two brothers, Larry Woodcock and his wife Debbie of Milford, CT; and Lowell Woodcock and his wife Rita of Hopewell Junction, NY.
Calling hours will be held from 2 to 4 and 6 to 8 PM on Friday, August 16, at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains, NY.
A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM on Saturday, August 17, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Bangall, NY, with Fr. John Bida officiating.
Interment will be at the convenience of the family.
