On May 14th, our angel, Linda entered into eternal rest after battling an extended illness. She was born on May 14, 1943 in Port Chester, NY. She was the daughter of Joseph J. and Letitia (Pugliese) Fado of Greenwich, Connecticut.
The family later moved to Copake, NY to a small farmhouse where she learned many country life experiences such as raising chickens, milking cows and fondly recalled memories riding her childhood horse, Twinkle.
Linda worked countless jobs over the course of her life starting as a lab technician at Sharon Hospital, substitute teacher and secretary at the former Roe Jan School (her alma mater), ski instructor at Catamount, aerobic exercise instructor and as a dental assistant for 19 years.
Linda and her family were communicants of Our Lady of Hope (Formerly St. Bridgets) in Copake Falls, NY. She was a loving and devoted spouse and mother and has had a positive impact on her family, friends and everyone she encountered and will be greatly missed by all.
Linda is survived by her devoted husband Michael Salvatore DeRuzzio, Sr. after 54 years in marriage, her mother Letitia, her sons and daughter in-laws (Michael Jr. and Lisa), (Daniel and Shelley) and (Matthew and Natalia). In addition, she is survived by her siblings, John (Buddy), Constance (Bonnie) Millar, Joel, Francis and Robert, her grandchildren Elyse, Daniel John (DJ), Michaela, Therese and Rachel and her many nieces and nephews.
