Kevin W. Silvernail, 57 of Copake Falls, NY passed away on Sunday December 29, 2013 at Fairview Hospital in Gt. Barrington, MA.
He was born on March 28, 1956 in Gt. Barrington, a son of the late Wallace and Helen (Campbell) Silvernail.
Kevin had been employed for over 30 years as a millwright at the Ancram Paper Mill, Schweitzer - Mauduit International, Inc. While there he served his fellow workers as vice president of the union committee.
He was a member of the West Copake Reformed Church, served on the Consistory for five years and was a loyal attendee of the Monday night Men's Group.
Kevin was active in his community as a member of the Hillsdale Lodge #480 Free and Accepted Masons. a member of the Oxbow Club, the Roe Jan Boat Club and a member and past chief of the Copake Falls Fire Company. As pit master for several community fundraisers he and his wife Dale-Marie were presented the "Good Neighbor Award" by former State Senator Stephen Saland and current Dutchess County Executive Marcus Molinaro.
Survivors include his beloved wife Dale-Marie (McNaughton) Silvernail; his children, Jennifer Silvernail and Denise Dysard and her husband Gary. He leaves his grandchildren, Christopher Filli, Abigail Filli, Seth Silvernail and William Fontanet. Also his siblings, David Silvernail and wife Irene, Rodney Silvernail and wife Ann and Linda Scott and husband Stan. He also leaves his in laws, Donald and Ann McNaughton along with numerous brother and sister in laws.
He was pre-deceased by his daughter Ashley C. Silvernail and a sister, Kathleen Faulkner.
Friends are invited and may call on Saturday January 4, 2014 from 2 - 6 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22, Copake NY.
Funeral services will be held on Sunday January 5, 2014 at 1 PM at the West Copake Reformed Church with the Rev. Dr. Robert Charnin, former pastor officiating.
A Celebration of Life will be held immediately following the service at the Copake Community Park, Copake NY.
Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
