Pine Plains, NY - Kathryn M. "Kay" Pendergast, 93, passed away on Thursday, October 22, 2015 at home.
She was born on March 21, 1922 in New York City the daughter of Edward and Harriet (Pectal) Bellinger.
Mrs. Pendergast was a homemaker.
On October 6, 1940 she married the late Chester F. Pendergast. He predeceased her on October 18, 2006.
Kay is survived by her son, Charles "Pat" Pendergast and wife Connie of Staatsburg, a daughter, Carol Pendergast of Arizona; six grandchildren; Cheryl Hudek ( Tom), Carol Hosier (Rich), Donna Hosier (Jeff), Tina Smith (Kyle), Patty Williams (Ryan) and John Kemp Jr.
She also has eleven great-grandchildren and two great-great-grandchildren.
Kay is making her journey with son Calvin "Kim" Pendergast who passed away on the same day.
Kay dedicated her life to her family. Whether it was caring for her children as they were growing up or helping Chet with painting jobs.
She had a kind heart and was always prepared with one of her famous comments. She leaves us with many memories and a huge hole in our hearts.
There are no calling hours.
Graveside service will be held at 9 AM, Saturday, November 14, in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains, with Deacon Jackie Jefferson officiating.
