Kathryn G. "Katie" Mergendahl

Pine Plains, NY - Kathryn G. "Katie" Mergendahl, 84, passed away at Sharon Health Care Center in Sharon, CT, on Saturday, July 25, 2015.

Born on December 24, 1930 in Pine Plains, NY she was the daughter of the late Russell and Christine (Wheeler ) Finkle.

Kathryn graduated from Stissing Mountain High School and worked for Heritage Mutual Insurance Company. She retired in 1992. She was also a member of the Pine Plains Presbyterian Church.

Survivors include three sons, Bruce Silvernale of Pine Plains, NY; Gary Silvernale of Florida; Wayne and his wife Christine McBeth of Pine Plains, NY; a daughter, Anna Rothvoss of Ancramdale, NY and several grandchildren.

She was predeceased by two brothers, Harold and Melvin Finkle.

Calling hours are 1 to 3 PM on Sunday, August 2, from the Peck & Peck Funeral Homes, Inc. 7749 South Main ST. Pine Plains, NY 12567.

Funeral services will be held on Monday, August 3, at 11 AM from the Pine Plains Presbyterian Church with Pastor Carol Miller, officiating.

Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery / Pine Plains, NY.
