Katharina Nowak

Katharina Nowak, 94 of Hillsdale, NY passed away on Tuesday November 11, 2014 at the Lancaster Regional Medical Center in Lititz, PA.

She was born on October 20, 1920 in Borowagora, Poland, a daughter of Ivan and Teodozia Hyrsiewicz.

A housewife and mother she and her late husband Stanley operated the family dairy farm in Hillsdale for many years.

Survivors include her sons, Peter J. Nowak Sr. of Hillsdale, and John Nowak of Manteca, CA; her daughters, Donna Martin of Sun Lake, AZ, Mary Drozdowski of Lancaster, PA and Stella Roberts of Claverack, NY. She also leaves 6 grandchildren and 5 great grandchildren.

In addition to her husband Stanley who died in 1991 she was also pre deceased by 2 grandchildren.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Wednesday November 19, 2014 at 2 PM from the Parish of Our Lady of Hope, 8074 Route 22 in Copake Falls, NY with the Rev. George Brennan officiating.

Interment will follow in New St. Bridget's Cemetery, Copake Falls.

Arrangements are with the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, Copake NY.
