Stanfordville, NY - Karl "Chip" Ernst Seebruch, 82, passed away on Thursday, August 9, 2012 at St. Francis Hospital in Poughkeepsie, NY.
He was born in Brooklyn, NY on March 14, 1930 the son of the late Henry and Alma (Schade) Seebruch.
He graduated from the Pine Plains High School. During the Korean War he served in the United States Army Signal Corp in Germany.
Chip retired from his own plumbing, heating and electric business after fifty plus years.
He was devoted and very proud member of fifty five years to the Stanford Fire Company. Chip was past Fire Chief, and had held many line officer posts. He also was a member of the Fire Police and the Rescue Squad.
Chip took pride in wearing and showing others his fifty years of service pen. He also served for fifteen years as a Fire Commissioner for the Town of Stanford.
On New Year's Eve in 1963 he married Vivien (Robinson) Seebruch. She survives him at home.
In addition to his loving wife Vivien, survivors include two sons, Seward "Butch" (Dianne) of Stanfordville, NY; Karl "Seeb" (Victoria) of Keaau, HI; a sister, Nancy Seebruch of Stanfordville, NY; He had great pride in the three grandchildren, Dustin (Robin) Seebruch of Stanfordville, NY; Luke Seebruch of Keaau, HI; and Leia Seebruch of Keaau, HI.

Funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
