GERMANTOWN - Juliette A. Brooks, 93, of Germantown, New York died on Wednesday, June 08, 2011 at the Livingston Hills Nursing and Rehabilitation Center in Livingston, NY.
Born June 25, 1917 in St. Angels, Quebec, Canada during World War I, she was the daughter of the late Archie Omar and Eva Mary (Dubuc) Le Duc.
Mrs. Brooks enjoyed knitting and crocheting afghans, and won several ribbons in the Amenia Grange knitting contests. She was passionate about cooking as well.
On October 20, 1937 in Amenia, NY, she married Howard Paul Brooks. He predeceased her on August 19, 1961.
A longtime resident of Dutchess County, she moved to Germantown in 2002 after living in Amenia for many years.
She is survived by her sons, Wayne Paul Brooks and his wife Elizabeth of Hudson, New York; Bruce Brooks of Poughkeepsie, NY; five grandchildren, Howard, Kevin, Anita, Gordon and Audrey Brooks; and five great grandchildren, Hunter Corrado, Danny, Gina, Patrick and Emily Jane Brooks.
In addition to her husband Howard, she was predeceased by a brother, Emile Le Duc.
An hour of visitation will be held on Saturday, June 11, 2011 from 10 to 11 am at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains. Funeral services will begin at 11 am, Rev. Fred Brooks officiating.
Burial will follow in the Evergreen Cemetery in Pine Plains, NY.
