John G. Westpfal

Pine Plains, NY - John G. Westpfal, 77, passed away on Friday, January 15, 2016.

He was born on July 28, 1938 in Ossining, NY, the son of August and Edith (Sheppard) Westpfal.

John served in the United States Army from 1957 - 1963. He has also served in the Pine Plains Hose Company and Rescue Squad.

He was the owner and operator of EFS cleaning in Pine Plains, NY.

Survivors include two sons, Gus Westpfal and his wife Linda of Pine Plains, NY; Michael Westpfal of Pine Plains, NY; four grandchildren, John Westpfal (Heather Mackey), Stefanie and her husband Bill Iannone, Gussy and Thomas Westpfal; three great grandchildren, Carter, Jackson and Sophia.

He was predeceased by his wife, Gerda (Krichsbaum) Westpfal on December 14, 2011 and a son, John J. Westpfal on March 7, 2015.

There are no calling hours.

A Celebration of Life will be held at 3 PM on April 23, 2016 at the Pine Plains Lions Club with Deacon Jackie Jefferson officiating.

Burial will be in Evergreen Cemetery, Pine Plains, NY.
