John Simmons

Pine Plains, NY - John Simmons, 75, he was born on June 4, 1944 passed away peacefully surrounded by his family on March 27, 2020 at Columbia Memorial Hospital from natural causes.

John was a tractor-trailer driver and loved what he did. He loved to work on anything with a motor and had a love for riding horses. John grew up in Pine Plains where he attended school and later started a family of his own.

John had many friends and family who he adored. He is survived by his three children; sons Michael Simmons of Pine Plains NY, Mark Simmons of Willsboro NY and daughter Melissa Simmons of Hillsdale NY. He is pre deceased by his father Roswell Simmons Sr., his mother Eunice Raycraft Simmons and brother Roswell Simmons.

John is also survived by three brothers Steven of Pine Plains NY, Curtis of Gallatin NY, and Davis of Salisbury NC, and cousin, Fred Simoncini of Gallatin NY. John is also survived by his 12 grandchildren and 7 great grandchildren.

There are no calling hours or service at this time.

A celebration of life will be held at a later date.

In lieu of flowers memorial contributions are requested to St. Jude Children’s Hospital 501 St. Jude Place Memphis, TN 38105. or to any Humane Society.
