John Patrick Egan Iii

John Patrick Egan III a longtime resident of Stanfordville passed away peacefully on March 9, 2014 at home surrounded by his loving family. He was 72 years old.

He was born in the Bronx, NY on September 2, 1941 to the late John and Anita Egan. He moved to Clinton Corners NY in 1953 and graduated from Pine Plains Central School. He then graduated from Dutchess County Community College in 1961.

John's long term career was as a tool design engineer with IBM in East Fishkill.

He served in the Army Reserves, was an avid golfer and a member of the Stanford Lions Club.

He was married to his current wife Michelyne in 1996 who survives him at home. He also leaves a son Robert John Egan of Plantation, FL; two step sons, Stefan and Eric Duvivier. Also his granddaughters, Morgan Elizabeth, Mollie Elizabeth and Maggie Anita and step grandchildren, Marcel and Pilar Duvivier. He is also survived by a brother Walter Egan and a sister Margaret Egan Layton.

He was pre deceased by a son, Michael Patrick Egan.

In keeping with his wishes there will be no calling hours or services.
