John Francis Werner Iii

John Francis Werner III, 57 of Undermountain Rd. in Millerton, NY died on Monday December 13, 2010.

He was born on October 14, 1953 in Queens, NY a son of John and Mary (Quinlivan) Werner of Brewster, NY.

John was raised in Rosedale, NY and moved to Brewster in 1969. Upon his marriage to Nancy (Nardella) Werner on October 1, 1977 in Danbury, CT they then relocated to Boston Corners within the Town of Ancram.

In 1978 John joined the New York State Troopers with whom he was employed by until 1984 when he started his own firm, John Werner Construction.

He was an avid outdoorsman and sportsman who enjoyed all types of hunting both locally and on trips out west with friends. John was a member of Undermountain Golf Course in Boston Corners and a member of the New York State Troopers PBA.

Besides his parents he leaves his beloved wife Nancy and their three children, Jason Werner of Copake, NY; Christopher Werner of Hudson, NY and Jennifer Werner of Malta, NY. Additionally he leaves three sisters, Maureen Patterson of Brewster, NY; Beth Young of New Milford, CT and Patricia Sullivan of Poughquag along with twelve nieces and nephews.

A husband, father, son and brother, who pursued his life with energy, tenacity and conviction will be remembered fondly on Friday December 17, 2010 from 1:00 -4:00 & 6:00 - 9:00 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Route 22 in Copake, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated on Saturday December 18, 2010 at 12 Noon at the Parish of Our Lady of Hope, Route 22 in Copake Falls, NY.

Private interment will be held at the convenience of the family
