Joan Dwy

Lake Katrine, NY - Joan Dwy, 77, formerly a long time resident of Ancram, NY passed away at Kingston Hospital on Wednesday, June 3, 2015.

She was born on April 1, 1938 in Sharon, CT the daughter of James Lewis and Theresa (Stillman) Pitcher.

Mrs. Dwy was Justices of Peace for the Town of Ancram, NY for over twelve years.

On April 28, 1963 she married Ronald A. Dwy. He survives her at home.

In addition to her loving husband Ron, survivors include a daughter, Susan Mercado Meyer and her husband Glenn of Kingston, NY; a son, Gary Mercado and his wife Allison of Tucson, AZ; five grandchildren, Lisa Mercado, Lori Mercado, Kelly Mercado Smith, Evan Mercado, Amethyst Meyer; three step grandchildren, Chad Roy, Donavan Lefevre, Elaina Lefevre; and four great grandchildren.

She was predeceased by a son, Lee C. Mercado on January 6, 2007.

There are no calling hours.

Funeral service and burial will be at the convenience of the family.
