Jerry Anthony Henry, 42, surrounded by his loving family entered peacefully into rest on the evening of Tuesday, December 31, 2012 at Albany Medical Center in Albany, NY. He was born in Newburgh, NY on July 24, 1970 the son of Mary Henry of Wallkill, NY and the late Frederick Henry.
Devoted husband and father, Jerry was an avid reader with a great love of books and a broad knowledge of technology. He enjoyed listening to music, especially his favorites, Led Zeppelin and the Beatles. Jerry will be greatly missed by his loving wife and precious children who he loved with such great intensity.
Jerry was a 1989 graduate of Wallkill High School, a 1994 graduate of SUNY New Paltz with a degree in History and then went on to receive his graduate degree in Library Science in 1996 from SUNY Albany. He was a Librarian for the past thirteen years and was employed by the Newburgh Free Library.
On August 12, 2000 at the Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia, NY, he married Kimberly (Bray) Henry. For over twelve wonderful years they shared their love for each other and their two children. That love resulted in many family travels, including multiple trips to Disney World, where Jerry, Kim and their children were able to create memories that will last forever. In addition to his loving wife Kimberly, survivors include a daughter, Emily, 9, and a son, Jason, 6, both of Stanfordville, NY; a brother Chris and his wife Laura of Colorado: a brother David and his wife Anne of Wallkill; brother-in-law, Douglas Bray of Poughkeepsie; sister-in-law, Jennifer Lamping and her husband Richard of Highland; a Godchild, Madelaine, the daughter of his cousin Patrick Turner and his wife Rachel of Wallkill. Jerry is also survived by his nephew and nieces, Richie and Hailey Lamping of Highland; Juliana Henry of Wallkill and several cousins, aunts and uncles.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 11 am on Monday, January 7, at the Immaculate Conception Church in Amenia, NY with Fr. Kent Wilson officiating. Interment will follow in the St. Mary's Cemetery in Bangall, NY.
