Clinton Corners – James Roland Smith, 52 of Clinton Corners, NY, passed away suddenly on July 7, 2018 after a long illness.
Jimmy had worked on numerous horse farms in the area and most recently had been working for Tom Stoenner as a glass blower. He had many talents including, guitarist, composer and musician; artist; and writing and reading poetry, particularly the works of Whitman and Thoreau. Around his home he enjoyed landscaping, gardening and taking care of anything mechanical.
Born August 8, 1965 in Sharon, Ct., he was the son of Courtnea (Whitehill) Smith Stark of North Salem, NY, and the late Ronald J. Smith who passed away July 2016.
He is survived by his mother Courtnea Smith Stark; his sister Debra Helen Smith, His step-father David R. Stark, and two step-brothers Robert and Howard Stark; many cousins, his uncle Randy (Melissa) Smith, his aunt Lorraine Smith, Uncle Kevin (Eloise) Smith; and his pet companion Diesel.
Services are private and at the convenience of the family.
