James G. Skau

James G. Skau, 70, passed away peacefully from heart failure on Friday, June 10, 2016 at Albany Medical Center. James was born in Manhattan on January 10, 1946 to L. Marie (Stockhouse) and George Skau. James was a longtime resident of the Bronx, and lived 30 years in Eastchester, NY with his wife loving Margaret MacNichol. James and Margaret recently moved to Copake NY.

Besides his wife, he is survived by his brother George Skau and his wife Anne, nephews John and Peter Skau, niece Marianne Karam, cousins Campbell Munn, Gina Davis, Robert Paradiso and Carolyn Paradiso, Carol Stohon, June Stone, Ronni Kelly, Eileen Mullane, Gordon Skau, Mary McAuley, Margaret Parente, Hank Shindle, Donald Skau, and Robert Skau. He is pre-deceased by beloved cousin Joan Paradiso.

James career branched into several governmental agencies, including the U.S. Treasury, Veterans Administration, New York State Department of Taxation, Department of Labor, Department of Motor Vehicles, and the NYPD. He graduated from DeWitt Clinton High School in the Bronx and attended Westchester Community College. During the 1960's, he formed and managed the band the DuCaines.

A wake for James Skau will be held on Wednesday, June 15. Calling hours are from 2 to 4 PM, and 6 to 8 PM at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 8063 Route 22, Copake NY 12516.

Plans will be made for a memorial service at Our Lady of Mt Carmel RC chapel in Ridgewood, NJ and interment at Maryrest Cemetery, Mahwah NJ at a later date.
