James W. Carroll

Amenia - James W. Carroll, 46, passed away on Monday, March 7, 2011 at Sharon Hospital in Sharon, CT.

Born February 13, 1965 in Sharon, CT, he is the son of Philip T. and Judith (Baker) Carroll.

On February 28, 1987, in Amenia, NY, he married Helene McGhee Carroll. She survives him at home.

Mr. Carroll owned and operated JWC Lawn Care in Amenia, NY.

James was an avid hunter and fisherman. He enjoyed farming and participating with his daughters in 4H.

In addition to his loving wife and parents, he is survived by four daughters, Tricia Carroll and her partner, Ernest Brazee of Millerton, NY; Brittany Carroll of Amenia, NY; Shelby Carroll of Amenia, NY; and Amanda Ryan; grandchildren, Troy Brazee, Tyler James Tripp, Dakota Raymon Tripp and Aaron, Alexis and Autumn; nephews, Ben and Zach Carroll; two brothers, Philip Carroll and his wife Barbara of Amenia, NY; Christopher Carroll of Amenia, NY; two sisters, Ellen France and her husband Ralph of Georgia; Christine Michelson and her husband Morten of New York, NY; a grandmother, Florence Carroll of Amenia, NY; and several aunts and uncles.

Calling hours are Thursday, March 10, 2011 from 2 to 4 PM and 6 to 8 PM at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 8063 State Rt. 22, Copake, NY.

A Mass of Christian Burial will be celebrated at 10 AM Friday, March 11, 2011 at the Immaculate Conception Church, Route 22 in Amenia, NY.

Private interment will be at the convenience of the family.
