Stanfordville - Jacquelyn Jane Jennings, 76, passed away on Thursday, March 29, 2012 at her residence in Stanfordville, NY surrounded by her loving family.
She was born on July 30, 1935 in Fort Wayne, IN.
On November 17, 1962 in Riverdale, NY, she married Ernest Jennings, Jr. Mr. Jennings predeceased her on September 17, 2010.
Mrs. Jennings worked for many years as a certified home health aide for the Fountains in Millbrook, NY, as well as at the Stanfordville Post Office, and as a house cleaner.
She was a Girl Scout leader for several troops in Stanfordville. Jacquelyn also taught Sunday school for nearly 40 years at the St. James Episcopal Church in Hyde Park. She enjoyed arts and crafts, especially crocheting.
She is survived by her two daughters, Hope and Jada Jennings of Clinton Corners, NY; brother-in-law, Madison Jennings and his wife Sylvia of Warwick, NY; brother-in-law, Ray Jennings of Danville, VA; sister-in-law Ella Lambert and her husband Thomas of Danville, VA; and brother-in-law Haywood Jennings and his wife Amy of Lynchburg, VA; two cousins, Gaynell Logan of Halifax, VA; and Rose and Alfred Dunklin of Mt. Vernon, NY; and several nieces and nephews, Madison Jennings, Jr., Steven Jennings, Dawn Jennings-Trone, Terel Jennings and Leon Dunklin.
Jacquelyn was a loving person who always gave to others and will be dearly missed.
Calling hours will be held from 6 to 8 PM on Monday, April 2, 2012 at the Peck and Peck Funeral Home, 7749 S. Main St., Pine Plains, NY.
Funeral services will be held at 11 AM on Tuesday, April 3, 2012 at the St. James Episcopal Church, 4526 Albany Post Rd., Hyde Park, NY.
Interment will follow in the Stanford Cemetery, Rt. 82, Stanfordville, NY.
