Jacob Joseph Stickle, age 9 died on Saturday June 2, 2012 at his residence after a long struggle with cancer. At the time of his passing he was surrounded by his loving family and pastor.
Jacob was born on February 21, 2003 in Sharon, CT the son of Wendy Eisermann and Shaun Stickle Sr., both of Copake NY.
When health allowed, Jacob had attended both the Webutuck and Taconic Hills Central School Districts.
Jacob liked music, riding his bike, video games, hunting, motorcycles and fast cars.
Jacob's neighbor gave him a ride in his mustang and of course Jacob wanted to go faster. His Uncle Kevin brought him home one day on his Harley going quite fast. Upon pulling in the driveway Jacob's smile couldn't have been big enough!
Just recently Jacob was made an honorary junior member of the Pine Plains Hose Company and Rescue Squad. Jacob was also named Grand Marshall of this year's Millerton Memorial Day Parade where he was presented with a medal by Sgt. Major Robert Jenks.
These are just a few of the highlights and memories of Jacob's last two months. Jacob was small in stature but big of heart. He is at peace with the Lord, absent from body but present with the Lord.
He is survived by his mother, Wendy Eisermann and his father and stepmother, Shaun Sr. and Dawn Stickle, all of Copake. He is also survived by his brothers, Shaun Stickle Jr., Alex Stickle (Jacob's twin), Blake Stickle and Anthony Zeoli; his sisters, Arianna Zeoli and Peyton Stickle. His mother Wendy is expecting another child and Jacob has named her Colby. All of Jacob's siblings reside in Copake.
