Herbert M. Dam

Herbert (Herbie) Medfield Dam 81, of Pine Plains, New York, passed away on December 1st, 2024 after a long illness. He was born on May 24, 1943 in Sharon, Connecticut to the late Herbert and Alice Dam. Herbie grew up on the family property and remained there until his passing. He served our country in the United States Navy and was honorably discharged. He was a mechanic and auto body repairman who took great pride in fixing anything. He took great pride in his property, always making sure it was mowed and he spent countless hours on the porch looking out to the hills. In his younger years he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. 

 Herbie is survived by his children, Edward Daley and spouse Hannah Steiner, Denise Seviour and spouse Charles Seviour, Dolores Daley and spouse Wayne Humes, Sean Daley and spouse Beatris Daley, Siobhan Cook and spouse Thomas Cook. His step children, Tina Conn, Robert Conn, Mike Conn, Amanda Montemorra and Tabitha Montemorra. His grandchildren include: Cherelle Daley, Steven Daley, Ashley Meara, Rebecca Kelly, Cameron Seviour, Amanda Humes, Paul Daley, Anna Daley, Rebekah Daley, Caelan Cook and Teagan Cook, Heather, James, Joshua and Annette Matta. In addition to his great granddaughter, Zahyanna Thomas and his cousins, Kathy and David Dam. 

 He is predeceased by his wife Cynthia Dam, on December 2, 2019. 

 Services with military honors will be held in the springtime at the Gerald B.H. Solomon National Cemetery at a date and time to be announced.
