Harold E. Haire

Ancram, NY - Harold E. Haire, 67, passed away on Monday, February 9, 2015 at home.

He was born on August 30, 1947 in Poughkeepsie, NY the son of Marjorie (Lown) Haire of Rhinebeck, NY and the late Herman A. Haire Sr.

On February 21, 1977 Harold became a member of the New York State Troopers. He retired on May 29, 1996.

He honorably served his Country in the United States Navy.

He was an avid hunter, fisherman and loved spending time with his family.

In addition to his loving mother Marjorie, survivors include two daughters, Michele McCarthy of Ancram, NY; Courtney Haire of Pine Plains, NY; three sons, Steven Haire of Pine Plains, NY; Scott Haire of Pine Plains, NY; Thomas Haire of Pine Plains, NY; two brothers, Herman A. Haire Jr. of Florida; James Haire of Pine Plains, NY; three sisters, Dorothy Simmons of Florida; JoAnn Lamont of Pine Plains, NY; Sue Ellen Dougherty of CA; five grandchildren, Cody, Evan, Emmaline, Alexander and McKenna.

He was predeceased by a sister, Linda Smith.

Calling hours are 2 to 7 PM on Friday, February 13, 2015 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains.

Funeral service will be held at 10 AM on Saturday, February 14, 2015 at the Funeral Home with Military Honor Guard and Rev. Carol Miller officiating.

A reception will follow at Lia's Mountain View Restaurant in Pine Plains, NY.
