Guy R. Merriam

Guy Richard Merriam (78) of Pine Plains passed away peacefully on September 1, 2024 surrounded by his loving family. Guy was born July 17, 1946 in Brooklyn, New York, the son of Olive (Irwin) Merriam and Harold Merriam. Guy worked at the Beekman Arms for over 25 years prior to his retirement . In his free time, he enjoyed spending time with his dog Molly and helping around the house doing repairs. He also enjoyed watching pro wrestling every Monday and Friday night.

Guy is survived by his loving wife of 27 years, Nancy (Contone) Merriam. He is also survived by his son Jason (Michelle) Campbell and his 2 stepchildren, Lisa

(Bill) Piro and Michele (John) Muller. In addition, he is also survived by his 3 grandchildren, Joseph (Diana) Parisi, Meagan (Jack Morris) Brenner and Natalie Muller. Guy is also survived by his 2 great grandchildren Daria and Eliana. He was predeceased by his mother and father.

There will be no calling hours and a private memorial service for family will be held at a later date. In lieu of flowers, memorial donations can be made to the American Cancer Society.
