Gordon L. Smith Sr.

Gordon L. Smith Sr., 79, passed away on April 30, 2024 peacefully at home surrounded by his loving family. He was born on February 13, 1945 in Cobleskill, NY, the son of Walter and Pauline (Lent) Smith.

Mr. Smith worked for the Local 1000 in Poughkeepsie until his retirement. On May 22, 1965 in Milan, NY he married the late Donna L. Smith.

Gordon is survived by his three daughters, Rebecca Jaigua, of Rhinebeck, NY; Kelly Matthews of Milan, NY; Dina Connolly of Stanfordville, NY; a son, Gordon L. Smith Jr. of Red Hook, NY; twelve grandchildren and eight great grandson. He also is survived by his two sisters, Shirley Eissert, Marjorie Sisson. In addition to several nieces and nephews.

Graveside services will take place privately in Stanford Cemetery.
