Glenn L. Elliott, 70, of Pine Plains, passed away at Vassar Brothers Medical Center on February 24, 2024. He was born in Bronxville on January 21, 1954 to the late Ralph and Margaret (Messina) Elliott. Ten years later his family moved to Pine Plains where Glenn would reside the rest of his life. He graduated from Stissing Mountain High School and went on to be a painter locally. Many of the homes and business around Pine Plains were once painted by Glenn. Having grown up on Twin Island Lake, he was an avid outdoorsman who enjoyed hunting and fishing. At the lake he enjoyed countless hours of bass fishing and also enjoyed striper fishing on the Hudson. Glen was an animal lover, having many dogs and cats throughout the years as well. He also loved his family, especially his nephews.
Glenn is survived by his sister, Gayle J. Beatty, of Red Hook, his niece, Allison Wurster, of Pine Plains, who had been caring for him for the last few years and he was especially proud of her. Nephews; Keith Elliott, of Clermont, Joseph Brown, of Clermont and Matthew Brown, of Milan. His great nephews, Jacob & Brandon Wurster.
A celebration of Glenn’s life will be held on March 16, 2024 from 1 to 3 at the Lions Club Pavilion in Pine Plains. Donations in his memory are requested to Willow Roots, 23 N. Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567.
