Gerda K. Westpfal

Millsboro, DE - Gerda K. Westpfal, 71, and formerly of Pine Plains, NY passed away on Wednesday, December 14, 2011, peacefully at home surrounded by her loving family.

Gerda was born in Germany on November 11, 1940 the daughter of the late Josef and Elizabeth (Heibel) Krichbaum.

She came to the United States in 1960. Gerda met her husband John in Germany while he was stationed there. They have been married for fifty one years.

She was employed by the Pine Plains School District as a Bus Driver from 1988 - 2003.

In addition to her loving husband John, survivors include a son, John Westpfal of Ft. Lauderdale, FL; a son, Michael Westpfal of Pleasant Valley, NY; Gus and his wife Linda Westpfal of Pine Plains, NY; four grandchildren, John, Stefanie, Gussy and Thomas Westpfal.

Calling hours are 9 to 11 am on Saturday, January 14, 2012 at the Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains.

Funeral services will begin at 11 am. with Pastor Mark Frickey officiating.

Burial will be at the convenience of the family.
