Gerald D. "Jerry" Murphy

Poughkeepsie, NY - Gerald D. "Jerry" Murphy, 53, passed away on Wednesday, November 25, 2015 at home.

He was born on August 27, 1962 in Sharon, CT the son of Donald W. and Judith E. (Kilmer) Murphy Sr.

He was owner and operator of Murphy's Home Improvements.

Survivors include his life-partner, Lorianne Hughes of Poughkeepsie, NY; three step-children, Dillon Hughes, Brandon Hughes and Alyssa Hughes all of Poughkeepsie, NY; a sister, Kathleen Dennis of Millerton, NY; three brothers, Donald W. Murphy Jr. of Pine Plains, NY; Kenneth Murphy of Myakka, FL; Michael Murphy of Red Hook, NY; several nieces, nephews, aunts and uncles.

Calling hours are 6 to 7 pm on Friday, December 4, at Peck & Peck Funeral Home, 7749 South Main St. Pine Plains, NY 12567. Funeral service will follow at 7 pm.

Burial will be at the convenience of family.
